Farewell to Camellia
Last night, at a relatively empty Cheeseburger in Paradise in Woodbridge VA, we celebrated Camellia Akhamie's immense contribution to Silvertongue with some $8 burgers and good friends. The time has come for Camellia to leave us and start on her journey with the Navy to the distant archipelago that is Japan. Her contributions not only to out music but to our lives will never be forgotten. Camellia, with her passion and skill, pushed us to become the best musicians we could be and the last four years have been a blast. Our thoughts and prayers will be with her on this journey, as she goes off to see the word that is her's for the taking.
Before her bittersweet departure Camellia has completed all of her drum tracks on the new record, so there will always be a piece of her here with us.
Today, the official day of her departure, I encourage you to raise a glass with us to the best drummer this town has ever known. May she melt faces wherever she may go.
